Hello all, been a while since I posted but told a good friend of mine I would see if I can help him out.
He has a 1997 Chevy Tahoe 4X4 truck with a 350 FI in it. He has a miss fire on cyl 5 that no one can seem to find out what the problem is.  Has been in the shop for the past 2 weeks to no avail. The FI system has been gone through and cleaned, new cap, rotor button, wires and plugs, compression has been checked and was fine, and a new coil was installed. The shop hooked it up to the computer and has set no codes. Am sure they checked for vac leaks too. I, at one time, had a leak on my 92 S-10 2.8 FI EGR vac line and caused kind of what his truck is doing. Any ideas?

Many Thanks and Walt, site looks good.

Did they do a running compression test? Compared injector spray patterns/volume?

Not sure but will ask him. He took it to a small shop, not so sure how good they are. If all else falls I told him to take it to the shop I use, after 235,000 on my s-10 I just had to have a new cluch, p plate and all that goes with it.
